About the Team

WTF — We The Females is an all-women dance company based in Boston, Massachusetts. Founded in January 2019 by three Boston-based dancers, our mission is to empower women of all ages through dance.

​

We are committed not only to performance but to uplifting the communities we’re part of. Our work spans locally owned businesses, fashion collaborations, community service, and youth outreach. Over the years, WTF has expanded beyond Boston—collaborating on projects nationally and internationally while staying grounded in our mission. We believe in investing in the community as much as we do in leading it. WTF is trained, choreographed, danced, and directed entirely by women.

In 2020, WTF was selected as an Adidas Game Changer, featured in a nationwide campaign highlighting people making a positive impact in their communities. That same year, we launched We’re The Future, our program providing affordable dance classes to young girls across Massachusetts.

Today, we continue to spread positivity, accessibility, and meaningful art to women and girls—using dance as a powerful way to promote collaboration, community, and the impact of women supporting women in a world where that unity needs to be seen now more than ever.

About the Name

As women, there are a lot of things on the daily that make you say out loud WTF?! This is for all women and everything we have to go through in our society.
